The Thermox ZONE 1 EXd WDG-V combustion analyzer from AMETEK Process Instruments has been third-party certified for Zone 1 hazardous locations, allowing the unit to operate in areas in which hazardous vapors and gases will continuously be present.

The ZONE 1 EXd WDG-V analyzer offers a complete solution for combustion process control and safety with redundancy and diagnostics that provide end users with digitally transmitted information via Modbus and Ethernet that can be used to implement predictive and proactive Asset Management maintenance programs.

ZONE 1 EXd WDG-V Range of Measurement

Measurements of O2, COe and CH4 in one unit.

Connectivity

Digitally transmitted information via MODBUS and Ethernet that can be used for predictive and proactive asset management

Sensor

Principle of Operation: Zirconium oxide for net oxygen measurement and catalytic detectors for combustibles.

Output Range

  • Oxygen: From 0-1 to 0-100%
  • Combustibles: 0-500 PPM to 0-5%
  • Methane: 0-5%

Accuracy of the ZONE 1 EXd WDG-V

  • Oxygen: ±0.75% of measured value or ±0.05%, whichever is greater
  • Combustibles: ±2% of full scale output range

Response

  • Oxygen: 90% of a step change < 11 seconds with Flame Arrestors
  • Combustibles: 90% of a step change < 20 seconds with Flame Arrestors
